Canada Auto Sales Figures by Brand

The GCBC Analysis

When you look at all brands that sold vehicles in Canada, there a decent spread of brands that have seen sales decrease for the month and brands that have seen sales increase for the month.

On the YTD side of things, there are far fewer brands that saw sales increase than sales decrease.

Ford led the way in terms of overall sales. However, it was down nearly five percent. The brand saw roughly three percent fewer sales so far this year.

Several of the brands that are down YTD aren’t down a ton and there’s still time for them to turn things around. It’ll be interesting to see how these brands do as the last few months pan out.

Below you will find Canadian sales figures for all of the major auto brands broken down by month and by quarter. Brands differ from Manufacturers, for example, Ford Motor Co manufacturers both Ford and Lincoln brands. Important note: Both Ford, GM, and FCA have switched to quarterly reporting, making it more difficult to accurately gauge sales. We won’t have results to report for Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, GMC, Ford, Lincoln, Jeep, Chrysler, Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Dodge, and Ram until the end of each quarter.
