US – Large SUV Sales Figures

The GCBC Analysis

Large SUV sales in the U.S. for the month of September didn’t look too great. The segment was down for the month, but it’s up when you look YTD.

The segment is down about 2,900 units for the month of September when you compare it to last year’s September numbers. When you look at the YTD numbers, however, the segment is actually up by about 21,338 units.

Leading the pack was the Chevrolet Tahoe. It saw a drop of about 16 percent when compared with September’s numbers last year, but it’s up nearly a percent when you look YTD.

It’ll be interesting to see if the large SUV segment can turn things around in the coming months to keep its YTD numbers positive.

We will report September 2019 Automotive Sales beginning on Tuesday, October 1st, 2019, beginning around 10 AM ET.

Data will trickle in throughout the day with the numbers being finalized by EOD. GCBC is also happy to announce that we will be adding quarterly sales reports and comparisons in addition to monthly sales comparisons beginning this quarter.
